How Diplomatic Leasing Works

All Diplomats can apply for a lease, backed by their Embassy or Mission, and terms car be designed to suit the individuals time in the UK. All cars can be supplied with Diplomatic plates supplied by the DVLA, and payments are VAT Free (reclaimable by the Embassy or Mission directly).

Embassy’s and Mission’s can also arrange to have a ‘line of credit’ with us in order to speed up the leasing approval process. This also allows cars to to registered by the Embassy or Mission and moved between Diplomats on posting.

The leasing process is quick and simple and we can even include all servicing and maintenance requirements as part of your new lease.

Who can apply for a Diplomatic Lease?

Any Embassy, Mission, or NGO, as well as any Diplomat or member of an international organisation representing their country abroad, or any staff member working at an Embassy, Mission, or NGO.

In addition, if you are a member of one of the following organisations you may also qualify.

Internationally coordinated organisations

  • North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO)
  • Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) European Space Agency (ESA)
  • Western European Union (WEU)
  • Council of Europe

Other international organisations

  • European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN)
  • Interpol and Europol
  • Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE)
  • Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC)

UN main organisation specialist agencies and institutions, e.g.

  • International Labour Organisation (ILO)
  • United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)
  • International Telecommunication Union (ITU)
  • International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) International Development Association (IDA)
  • International Monetary Fund (IMF)

European Commission

  • European Parliament
  • European Court.
